Unfortunately, I am not really adding anyone new right now. It's hard to keep up with a big Flist, and I'd rather we become friends at a more appropriate time, than you cutting me in a few weeks because I don't comment. I'm sorry!
TIMELESS TRUTHS ABOUT ME
1) I tend to obsess about the things I love. And by obsess, I mean quote it every chance I get, and making references in many of my posts. As ofJanuary 2007 August 2008, those fandoms are The Office, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, HIMYM, Dr. Horrible, RDJ. For the others fandoms in my life, see my interests.
2) I'm very open-minded, more left wing that right politically speaking and I believe that we can make the world a better place with simple actions.
3) I also believe that animals and the environment in general should be protected at all costs.
4) I'm French-Canadian, proud to be Canadian and to be able to speak 2 languages. However, for me LJ is mostly an English part of my life, meaning that I will rarely (aka never) post in French.
5) One of my biggest passion in life is to discover cultures, and to live them fully by visiting new areas of the world for a longer period of time. I love history, literature, and things like that.
6) I abuse LJ lingo.I use squee and OMG and FTW quite often. Also, I am afflicted with a disease called the addiction to the shift key. WHICH MEANS I LIKE TO TYPE LIKE THAT. For no particular reason of course, only because it suits my hyper mood. And I am always hyper!! Consider yourself warned.
7) I believe myself to be a contradiction, because there are 2 sides of me that are completely different. For one, I am a fangirl. Of many things. Second, I consider myself to be some sort of intellectual who reads her newspaper every morning, is aware of what goes on in the world, reads a lot of books etc. I manage to make myself sound boring, but I'm not (except I am)! But if you are one to post about more serious issues, then I will participate, just like I will if you squee about something fandom-y.
10) I tend to have a low self-confidence. However, I am always there when someone else needs to be reminded of why they are so amazing. With such a big friends list as mine, it may take me longer to get to know each new friend, but I do my best, and I will rapidly grow to love you, if we are stuff in common.
11) I. AM. CANADIAN. I fully embrace my love of Québec AND my love of Canada.
12) I believe in education. I believe that it's never a waste of time and that by learning, you can get the ability to change the world. I value knowledge. I'm still in school, studyingjournalism film studies and liberal arts.
13) One of my goal (well...if you want to call it a goal!) in life is to have a wonderful DVD collection. Every movie I love, I want to have it on DVD. Because movies make me happy. They are a big part of my life. I know a lot of trivia that will not help me later in life, but it's FUN for me. My Wish list, so I can keep track of everything I want to buy.
14) I'm weird. Really weird! I like to come up with the strangest comments from time to time. And it's fun! Also, I tend to spam, comments-wise. I don't post that often, or post truly interesting stuff, but it's in comments that I “come alive” and interact the most.
15) I also have a tendency to write run on sentences that lead to nowhere. I apologise in advance if it bothers you.
